Breathe

The simple act of breathing orchestrates innumerable functions in our body to keep us balanced, stress free and hormonally balanced. Understand the Art of Breathing.

On average, a person at rest takes about 16 breaths per minute. This means we breathe about 960 breaths an hour, 23,040 breaths a day, 8,409,600 a year. Yet we do so without thought or being conscious of the incredible process that goes into keeping us alive. But what most of us don’t realise is how are breathing is in fact, reducing our lifespan; how our shallow breathing; our mouth breathing habit; our holding our breathe as we feel anxious or stressed – all negatively impact our health.

Ancient wisdom meets modern science in this breath-taking workshop where we share the research that merely making slight adjustments to the way we inhale and exhale can improve our fitness and endurance; rejuvenate us within; improve our sleep and help us lose weight. Dr Maria shares her years of experience in Paediatric practice and the vital role of nose breathing in children and its impact on their growth, facial development, speech, posture, attention (or lack thereof); clenching, grinding, sleep apnoea and metabolic syndrome. We look at the impact on the brain and the mind, and how such a simple task can bring about the changes you yearn for into your life and health.

Crystal Claire brings to life ancient techniques of conscious breathing, so providing you with the tools to incorporate being in the moment, peace, tranquility and balance into your life through mindful breathing.

“The way we breathe. It rises and falls. It takes us into ourselves; it takes us out of ourselves.”
